I write the guides on this site to help Northern Virginia buyers, sellers, renters and investors make clear decisions with real numbers and local rules, not guesswork.
About the author
Daniel Park, REALTOR®
I’m Daniel Park (Kwan Woo Park), a licensed real estate salesperson in Virginia (license #0225270426) and a REALTOR® affiliated with Samson Properties. I help clients buy, sell, rent and invest in Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax County, Loudoun County and Prince William County, in English and Korean.
Before real estate, I earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas and worked in the medical device industry. I served in the Republic of Korea Army and bought my first property at 23. That background shapes how I write: start with the data, explain the trade-offs, and give you a plan you can act on.

How I research and update articles
- Primary sources first. I rely on county and city governments, the Virginia Code, NVAR, Bright MLS, the local REALTOR® associations, Freddie Mac, the CFPB, WMATA, VRE and similar official sources, and I link them in the article.
- Dated numbers. Market figures, rates and tax rates are tied to the month or year they describe, so you can tell how current they are. Monthly figures live on my market report pages.
- Fair Housing. I describe homes, places and amenities, never the people who live there, and I don’t rate schools. Check school boundaries with the school division’s official locator.
- How AI is used. AI tools help me draft and edit some content. I review it and I’m responsible for it, as explained in my AI Disclosure.
- Corrections. If you spot something out of date or wrong, email danielparkrealty@gmail.com and I’ll fix it.
- Not legal, tax or lending advice. Articles are general information. For your situation, talk with a Virginia real estate attorney, CPA or lender.
