Accessibility Statement

Everyone deserves equal access to housing information. Updated October 11, 2026.

I am committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities, and to equal housing opportunity for everyone.

Our approach

I use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as the target standard for this Site. Accessibility is an ongoing effort. The Site is reviewed periodically with automated tools and manual checks, such as keyboard-only navigation. Some pages or content may not yet fully meet this standard, and I welcome your feedback so I can keep improving.

Accessibility features

The Site was built with features intended to make it easier to use, including:
  • a “Skip to main content” link and a consistent heading structure;
  • support for keyboard navigation, including menus, drop-downs, FAQs and forms, with visible focus indicators;
  • text alternatives for meaningful images, with decorative images hidden from screen readers;
  • color combinations chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, and information that does not rely on color alone;
  • form fields with visible labels and instructions;
  • a responsive layout that works with browser zoom and on mobile devices;
  • support for your device’s “reduce motion” setting; and
  • Korean-language text marked with the correct language so screen readers can pronounce it properly.
The Accessibility Options button in the lower-right corner of each page lets you enlarge text, increase contrast, underline links, switch to a more readable font and stop animations. It is offered as a convenience; you do not need it to use the Site, and it is not a substitute for the accessibility features built into the Site.

Known limitations and third-party content

Some content comes from third parties, such as embedded maps, social media, review sites and the form software used on the Site. I try to choose accessible options, but I do not control the accessibility of third-party content. Where a map is shown, the address and a directions link are also provided as text. If any content is a barrier to you, I will provide the information another way.

Get help or request information in another format

If you have difficulty using any part of this Site, need information in an alternative format, or would like to request an accommodation, please contact me. I will work with you to provide the information or service you need by phone, email, mail or in person, and I aim to respond within two business days.
When you contact me, it helps to include the page address (URL), a description of the problem, and the assistive technology or browser you are using, if any.

Equal housing opportunity

I am committed to the letter and spirit of the federal Fair Housing Act and the Virginia Fair Housing Law. If you believe you have experienced housing discrimination, you may contact the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) at 1-800-669-9777 or hud.gov (opens in a new tab), or the Virginia Fair Housing Office at 804-367-8530 or dpor.virginia.gov (opens in a new tab).
